TRANSPORT MINISTER UNVEILS VISION AT 2025 TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS FAIR LAUNCH

15th Oct 2025 | PR UNIT

The Minister for Transport, Hon. Joseph Bukari Nikpe, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to building an integrated and sustainable transport system that supports Ghana’s 24-hour economy agenda.

Speaking in an interview with a GTV reporter, Hon. Nikpe said the upcoming Ghana Transport and Logistics Fair 2025 will showcase innovations, improved connectivity, and investment opportunities in the transport sector.

“We are creating a platform to highlight innovation, connectivity, and opportunities, and to let people understand what the Ministry and its agencies are doing to improve transport services,” he stated.

He emphasized that the fair will also serve as a catalyst for collaboration among stakeholders, fostering partnerships that can enhance the overall efficiency of the transport network. This initiative aims not only to attract local investors but also to draw international attention to Ghana’s growing logistics landscape. By showcasing advancements in technology and infrastructure, the fair will position Ghana as a key player in the global transport sector. Additionally, it will provide a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs and innovators to exchange ideas and explore new business ventures that could further elevate the country’s transport services.

Scheduled for October 22-24, the fair will bring together stakeholders from government, the private sector, academia, and transport unions to explore ways of strengthening Ghana’s transport and logistics space.

The Minister said the event will also feature exhibitions of local innovations, including works by students of Buipe Technical School and manufacturers such as Kantanka Motors, to promote home-grown transport solutions.

He added that the initiative aligns with the President’s vision of an integrated transport system linking rail, road, aviation, and maritime services.

“This fair will demonstrate how far we’ve come and the opportunities ahead as we build a modern, connected transport system for all,” Hon. Nikpe said.
