The delegation is led by the Hon. Minister of Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe.

Accompanying the Minister are the Chief Director of the Ministry, Mrs. Mabel Sagoe, and other key figures from Ghana’s aviation sector, including the Ag. Director-General of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), Rev. Stephen Wilfred Arthur, the Ag. Commissioner of the Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation and Prevention Bureau (AIB), Mr. John M.K. Wumborti; and the Managing Director of Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Madam Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare.

Their collective presence highlights Ghana’s thorough engagement across all areas of aviation, from safety and accident investigation to regulatory oversight and airport management.

In a statement at the conference, Hon. Bukari Nikpe stated, “Ghana remains committed to working with ICAO and the global aviation community to ensure that safety, security, and sustainability are at the heart of our aviation development. We believe that no nation should be left behind in shaping the future of air transport, and Ghana will continue to contribute actively to this shared vision.”

Ghana’s participation reinforces its dedication to advancing safety, security, sustainability, and innovation, echoing ICAO’s principle of “no country left behind.”

Delegates also attended the ICAO Innovation Fair, which showcased new technologies and solutions under the theme, “Global Horizons: Inclusive Innovations for Aviation.”
