The Ministry of Transport today held a staff durbar to formally introduce the newly appointed Deputy Minister, Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey to staff of the Ministry.
The appointment made by His Excellency the President, is designed to strengthen the Ministry’s leadership and operational capabilities.
In his address, the Minister for Transport, Hon. Joseph Bukari Nikpe, commended the staff for their unwavering dedication to work. He acknowledged the outstanding issues of promotions and office space, assuring personnel of his commitment to resolving these matters. The Minister emphasised that the new leadership is focused on supporting the ministry's strategic objectives and improving the welfare of all staff.
In her remarks, Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and pledged to work collaboratively with the leadership and staff of the ministry. She affirmed her dedication to advancing the President's vision for the transport sector.
The Minister formally introduced Mr. Isaac Larbi Minta, Esq., the Ministry’s new legal adviser, and encouraged staff to give him their full cooperation. Mr. Minta's role is critical in providing legal guidance to ensure due diligence in all agreements and contracts.
The durbar is a step taken to foster a spirit of teamwork and strengthen the bond between the new leadership and the ministry's personnel.
