The Minster for transport, Hon. Kwaku Ofori Asiamah has said the Ministry of Transport was ready to work with the South African Government to improve air transport between the two countries.
In a bilateral discussion with the South African High Commissioner, the Minister said, it had become necessary that air transport is improved to the satisfaction of passengers.
He added that, both countries would need to collaborate more and partner, to boost the aviation industry between the two countries and by extension Africa.
The South African High Commissioner, Her Excellency Grace Jeanet Mason noted, they were calling on the Minister because the South African Airways had successfully launched its flight and Cargo operations on the 28th of September 2021, after an 18-month break in service into the Ghanaian market, as part of a first phase of resumption of its global route network.
She added, Ghana has been a significant market for the Airline and called for deepened collaborations between the two countries.
