The Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates Airlines, Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, in charge of International Affairs, has led a delegation from the Country Office of the airline to pay a courtesy call on the Transport Minister as part of his working visit to Ghana.

The Minister for Transport, hon. Kwaku Ofori Asaimah welcoming the team, noted he was happy how the Airline has conducted itself and cooperated with the Ministry throughout their operations in the country.

He said government through the Ministry was continuously going to create the enabling environment for the Airlines to operate. “The Ministry is going to continue working to make Air Transport attractive and safe for all industry players”, the Minister added.

Hon. Ofori Asiamah, stated he operated an open office and always available to collaborate with the Airlines to ensure that their operations were smooth.

Sheikh Majid Al Mualla on his part, commended the Ministry for the support the Airline has enjoyed for the past 18 years that they had been operating in the country.

He said Ghana was one of their key markets, which also had a safe airspace they operated in. Also, he mentioned the Airline was considering increasing their flights to and from Ghana.

Sheikh Al Mualla thanked the Minister for the support and collaborations they enjoyed during the COVID-19 lockdown even though they were not operating.

He thanked the Minister for receiving him and pledged they were going to collaborate and work together with all relevant players in the industry.

The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority and the Ghana Airport Company Limited pledged to collaborate with all the Airlines for smooth operations in the country.
